At today's keynote at the 2005 Game Developers Conference Europe in London, Sony's executive vice president for SCEE, Phil Harrison talked frankly and at length in a Q&A format with GDC chairman Jamil Moledina, discussing both Sony's forthcoming Cell-powered PlayStation 3 and the state of play on both the PSP handheld and the still-thriving PlayStation 2. |

In WarDevil, players will take the role of the mysterious WarDevil in a post-apocalyptic world, ruled by the Chun Federation. Although a lot is currently unkown about the game, it appears to be a first or third person shooter.

Amazon offers PS3 for pre-order at $299 |

Amazon.com has recently Playstation 3 on it's website, and it lists the price for $299.99. Sony has hinted that the price for the PS3 would be way higher than $299, however. Apparently the pre-order process is limited to adding yourself to a mailing list sp Amazon can contact you about pre-ording it later. It's likely that Amazon simply guessed at a price for now. |

Playstation 3 to support Tiger and Linux |

At the end of a release detailing the features of the Playstation 3, Sony included the following sentence: "The integrated Cell processor will be able to support a variety of operating systems (such as Linux or Apple's Tiger)."
This news has ignited talk that the Playstation 3 may be intended to have the capability to play PC games in addition to it's own game library.
Earlier in the release it is mentioned that "Sony is expected to offer optional hard drives for the PS3 with potential memory capacity of 80 or 120 GB." |
