According to recent Japanese survey conducted by Info Plant, via
marketing data service C-News, Playstation 3 is currently dominating
the interest of potential Japanese consumers. One thousand Internet
users between the ages of 10 and 59 were questioned about their
expectations and purchase intent for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and
Nintendo Revolution. The participants were equally split into four age
groups and each group was also divided equally for gender.
Despite the Xbox 360's advantage of a several month prior release, this
survey indicates that it will fall behind in Japan. 60 percent of
respondents stated that they would be most interested in the
Playstation 3, 8 percent said that they are most interested in the
Nintendo Revolution, and 2 percent said they were most interested in
the Xbox 360.
