Amazon offers PS3 for pre-order at $299 |

Amazon.com has recently Playstation 3 on it's website, and it lists the price for $299.99. Sony has hinted that the price for the PS3 would be way higher than $299, however. Apparently the pre-order process is limited to adding yourself to a mailing list sp Amazon can contact you about pre-ording it later. It's likely that Amazon simply guessed at a price for now.
